The Yoga Institute-Clear Lake is the longest running yoga studio in the area. Established in 1974 by Lex Gillian we have been proudly located in the heart of Clear Lake, Nassau Bay since 1996.

It is our mission to share the practice of yoga in an inspiring and practical manner making it accessible to every person who has an interest. Come join us for a class. Coming into The Yoga Institute-Clear Lake feels like coming home. We are excited to meet you.

Studio Courtesies and Policies: Welcome to our studio. Please take a deep breath before arriving. We are in this together. See our protocols and policies below and call us for any questions or clarifications at 281.333.1646. We are excited about our steps forward.

Registration: Register for all of your classes through our Class Schedule on this website.

  • Please pre-register for your yoga class in advance.

  • Please register EACH person attending class in your home. Each person needs to have an active account. Class cards may be shared- contact us so we can link your accounts together.

  • All classes require a minimum of 3 students or the class could be cancelled. Please register if you plan to attend.

  • If you need to cancel your registration we request you cancel at least 2 hours prior to your scheduled class to allow other students the opportunity to attend.

In Studio Policies: With new awareness we do all we can to offer a clean & healthy environment for us to practice together in community. We will be cleaning and sanitizing all common spaces after each class. We encourage you to wash or sanitize your hands before and after practice.

  • Pre-registration for class is requested. It is required for online classes to receive the link.

  • Please bring your a yoga mat and props if you like.  Studio props are available for use.

  • Kindly arrive to class scent neutral avoiding the use of perfumes and essential oils as some of our members have allergies.

  • Please turn your cell phones off or silence... this time belongs to you.

  • Shoes are permitted on the concrete floors only. Please REMOVE shoes before entering your practice space (wood floors). Socks are welcome.

  • Shoes are to be places ON THE FLOOR - NOT inside of cubbies.

  • Please bring water with you.

Self Screen Before Attending Class:

In order to do our best provide a safe and healthy environment we ask that you please attend class online if you are experiencing ANY of the following symptoms:

  • fever, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, feeling feverish or a measured temperature great than or equal to 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit. Please be fever free for >24 hours before returning to class.

Purchasing & Refund Policies:

  • We accept all credit cards, checks and cash in studio.

  • Please choose your class purchases carefully; there are no extensions or holds on any class packages of any type or any time period.

  • Class cards may be shared.

  • Refunds: All purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable. This policy is firm.
